Our Company

A Plus Home Inspections was established for the sole purpose of providing high quality home inspections to our clients.   The idea was to carefully develop a very efficient and easily accessible system to schedule the home inspection, pay for the home inspection and to receive the completed report on-line.

What We Inspect

Your home will be visually inspected to the North Carolina Standards of Practice for Home Inspections.   The systems that will be visually inspected are as follows:

  • Structural Components - Including foundation, floors, walls, columns, ceilings and roofs

  • Exterior of Structure - Including wall claddings, entryway doors, decks, steps, eaves, driveways and a representative number of windows

  • A Plus Home Inspections :: A Licensed Home Inspector in the State of North CarolinaRoofing - Including roof coverings, roof drainage systems, flashings, skylights and chimneys

  • Plumbing - Including interior water supply and distribution system, interior drain waste and vent system, hot water system, fuel storage and distribution system and sump pumps

  • A Plus Home Inspections :: A Licensed Home Inspector in the State of North CarolinaElectrical - Including service entrance conductor, service equipment, main distribution panels, voltage ratings, a representative number of installed ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, switches and receptacles, ground fault circuit interrupters and smoke detectors

  • System Heating - Including permanently installed heating system and its controls, chimneys, heat distribution system; including fans, pumps and ducts and automatic safety controls

  • Interior - Including walls, ceilings, floors, steps, a representative number of cabinets and a representative number of doors and windows

  • Insulation and Ventilation - Including insulation vapor barriers, ventilation of the attic and foundation, kitchen, bathroom and laundry venting systems and the operation of any accessible attic ventilation fan when temperature permits

  • Built-In Kitchen Appliances - Including the observation and operation of dishwasher, range, trash compactor, garbage disposal, ventilation equipment and permanently installed oven and microwave oven

Report Format and Delivery Methods

The report will be generated on-site utilizing a laptop, digital recorder and a digital camera. The report can then be distributed as follows:

  • Downloaded to an Electronic Mailbox

Payment Methods

The following payment methods are available.

  • Payment by Cash or Check on or Before the Day of Inspection (10% Discount)
  • Payment by Credit Card on or Before the Day of Inspection (7% Discount)
  • Payment by Cash or Check After the Day of Inspection (No Discount)
  • Payment by Credit Card After the Day of Inspection (No Discount)
Payment During the Closing Process (10% Surcharge)
